Kings High School Junior Designs and Decorates Pig for “Big Pig Gig”

KINGS MILLS, OH (FOX19) - “The Big Pig Gig” is back, and one of Kings High School’s very own has a porky creation that will be on display during this year’s World Choir Games.  KHS junior Zoe Rodriguez is one of only 40 artists selected to create a pig for this year’s “Big Pig Gig.”

“The Big Pig Gig” first showed up in Cincinnati in 2000. It is back just in time for the World Choir Games this summer.  Beginning in May and throughout the summer, visitors and locals to “Porkopolis” can delight in this public art installation. The pigs are giant, colorful custom designed fiberglass sculptures decorated by local artists.

Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Rodriguez moved to the area with her family last year. Zoe first heard about the “Big Pig Gig” from her mother and grandmother who are both artists. She knew right away that this was a project she wanted to be part of.
