Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices breaking ground in Central Ohio

LEBANON, OH (FOX19) - Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices in Lebanon has completed plans to build two skilled nursing and rehab neighborhoods in Franklin County in 2013.

The “small houses” are a unique concept designed to de-institutionalize traditional skilled nursing home care.

Groundbreaking for the Columbus/New Albany location at 6127 Harlem Rd. is set for June 21, and the public is invited to attend.

Refreshments will be served from 9:15-10 a.m., with the groundbreaking ceremony from 10-10:45 a.m. In addition to Otterbein executives and representatives from the architect and builder, the keynote speaker will be Bonnie Kantor-Burman, director of Ohio’s Department of Aging.

LEBANON, OH (FOX19) - The Otterbein Lebanon Senior Lifestyle Community was recently selected as one of the healthiest employers of Greater Cincinnati for 2013.

The 100-year-old faith-based, non-profit organization will be honored at an awards breakfast from 7 to 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7, at the Cintas Center at Xavier University. At the awards breakfast, Otterbein will receive recognition and a finalist award.

Once all of the finalists have been recognized, the Business Courier will announce a winner in each of the five size categories. Prior to the awards program, a wellness expo will showcase health and wellness products and services.

MASON, OH (FOX19) -Local business Olive and Ollie was selected from nearly 2,000 entries submitted nation wide.

The Audience Choice winner will be announced on October 8, will receive $10,000 to further his or her business and a trip to New York City to be part of the inaugural “American Made” event next month, and will be featured in the December issue of Martha Stewart Living.

Voting is open now and runs through September 24, and the public may vote once a day.
