Family entertainment company bringing new life to The Beach | Business
MASON, OH (FOX19) - Temperatures in the Tri State have dropped, but the Adventure Holdings Group is in the process of revamping The Beach Waterpark and thinking ahead to summer.
Construction crews are hard at work at the park that closed its doors to customers for the first time in 27 years. Park officials released a statement in March citing a "challenging competitive and economic climate and changing patron entertainment habits" as a reason for the 2012 season closure.
The company that is leasing the park for 2013 owns and operates 17 family entertainment centers across the country and has renamed the park "The Beach at Adventure Landing." The company has invested $5 million dollars into renovations for the new season.
"We're real excited to invest back into the park and give everyone a viable option of family entertainment affordable family fun in the summertime," said park general manager, Ralph Vilardo, Junior. "When (our customers) see the new improvements and we start announcing some of the new rides and attractions, they'll be able to see our commitment of making the Beach what it was over the last 27 years."
Customers can expect physical changes for 2013 including; new Kids Play Village, new Kids Spray Ground, new Family Arcade, new Heated Pools, new Private Cabanas with Waiter Service, new Candy Shop & much more. Another bonus for customers; people who purchased season passes for 2012 can use them in 2013.
Plans are for "The Beach at Adventure Landing" to open on May 18, 2013.
