Festivals of Mason elects 2013 board members | Community Spirit
MASON, OH (FOX19) - The Festivals of Mason (FOM), a non-profit organization dedicated to producing special events for Mason, recently named its 2013 officers. Karen Kilgore, who is president of The Children’s Theater of Mason and volunteers with the USO, was elected president. The Board also elected Genie Groff, research program manager for the Lindner Center of Hope, as treasurer and Scott Pierce as secretary.
“The Festivals of Mason is honored to have the opportunity to lead efforts to continue the tradition of planning hosting events that bring the community together to celebrate Mason’s heritage and success,” said Kilgore, president of Festivals of Mason.
“In addition to continuing to enhance our existing events, we look forward to leading a well-rounded approach and working with all groups in the community to plan Mason’s bicentennial celebration in 2015.”
Other business and community leaders on the FOM Board include Mike Stretch with BrandingGround and Chrissy Avery with the Mason Community Center. Mayor David Nichols has also appointed Council members Don Prince and Victor Kidd to serve on the Board. All FOM Board members are volunteers who share a passion for effectively serving the event planning needs of the city of Mason.
