MASON, OH (FOX19) - The lineup is set for the annual Sunshine Concert series in Mason.

MASON, OH (FOX19) - The Beach Waterpark is set to open the doors to a new hang out spot for teenagers.

Club Splash Teen Night Club opens on Tuesday, June 11 , with festivities every Tuesday night this summer through August 13.

“Club Splash is a great place for teens to party with friends, and to hang out in a fun, safe atmosphere with hundreds of other tri-state's teens,” says General Manager, Ralph Vilardo, Jr. “It’s always been so popular and we’re pleased we could bring it back”.

The dance club will be open from 9pm - 11:30pm and cost $10 per person.

Mason 5k Run, Roll & Sun Benefits Parks Foundation

MASON, OH (FOX19) - The Mason Parks Foundation and Mason Community Center 5K Run, Roll & Sun is scheduled for Sunday, June 9.

A portion of the proceeds will go to the Mason Parks & Recreation Foundation to support their goal of building Common Ground, a playground that will allow people of all abilities to play together. The Foundation is raising funds to build the playground on Reading Road in Mason.

Race registration includes the race fee, a T-shirt (if registered by May 31), food, fun, and a pool party.

Awards will be given based on age group plus overall runner and walker awards in male and female categories.

WESRT CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - A five-day event highlighting garden railways begins on Wednesday, June 5.

The 29th National Garden Railway Convention will attract more than 1,000 aficionados of all things garden railway related.

The convention is hosted by the Greater Cincinnati Garden Railway Society and the Miami Valley Garden Railway Society from Dayton. This is the fourth time Cincinnati has hosted this national convention.

Convention headquarters is at the Great Wolf Resort next to Kings Island, with numerous activities planned for attendees at other sites around the area, including the Museum Center at Union Terminal and EnterTRAINment Junction in West Chester.

The convention will include 30 garden railway tours throughout Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and the Greater Dayton area.

Grab your engineer’s hat and conductor’s lantern…garden railway enthusiasts from all over the world are pulling into Cincinnati this week for one of the premier G-Scale (large scale) model train conventions in the USA.

Kings Island hosting annual juvenile diabetes 3K walk

MASON, OH (FOX19) - The13th annual Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) 3k Walk to Cure Diabetes will be held at Kings Island on Saturday June 1st. The 364-acre amusement park hosts the walk for JDRF, the biggest donor and advocator for diabetes type 1 research, since 2001. Since then more than $8 million dollars have been raised.

During the walk the participants will get a unique view of Kings Island’s attractions such as Dinosaurs Alive! Participants will also get a chance to win single-day passes to park.

Packet pick-up starts at 7:00 a.m and the walk begins at 8:00 a.m. After the walk the participants can enjoy the rest of the festivities which includes:  the food, fun kids’ activities, entertainment, music, health screenings and more.
