Mason Community Center offers special needs sports day | Families
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
MASON, OH (FOX19) - Mason Community Center will present a unique one-day program for families with special needs to feel comfortable trying a new activity without the pressure of having to join a team or class to participate.
“Try It” offers an opportunity to try out several great sports, including soccer, baseball, and a Zumba class sampler, to help kids begin a new, healthy lifestyle. The programs have been designed to work with the child to support any and all levels of participation. Parents will meet the experienced people who will be supporting their child and answering any questions they may have. In addition, buddies will be available to come alongside each child to make sure he or she has a positive experience while trying a new skill. There is no cost to participate.
Try it: Sports! will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at Mason Community Center. The center is partnering with many of the special needs organizations in the surrounding area to provide information about programming for all abilities. If you are part of a special needs organization and would like to join our event, please call 513.229.8555 ext. 5549.
For more information call the Mason Community Center at 513.229.8555.
