Kids & Family Expo at Mason Community Center

MASON, OH (FOX19)  - Visit over 40 unique booths featuring children’s programs and after school enrichment programs at the Kids & Family Expo. This free event will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, at Mason Community Center.

Mason Community Center is excited to host the expo, which is presented by Cincinnati Family magazine and sponsored by Group Health: Trihealth Physician Partners, Kroger Comforts for Baby, and Deerfield Towne Center. After your visit to the expo, ask for a tour of the center.

Mason Community Center features two pools, an indoor track, complete fitness center, gymnasium and field house, climbing wall, exercise and enrichment classes, senior center, and more. Residency is not required for membership.

Enjoy a day of fun and fitness at Mason Community Center for the open house, volunteer fair and fall festival. Between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, admission to Mason Community Center is free for the entire family. Come dressed to work out, play, or swim.

Get a workout while you wiggle with hula hoop demos at 9 a.m. Using a weighted hula hoop, you can burn up to 420 calories in an hour. At 9:30, the pace slows as you restore and renew your mind and body with relaxation and awareness in a guided Yoga Nidra demo. Please bring a yoga mat, small pillow, and blanket.

CSO and May Festival choir returning to Mason

MASON, OH (FOX19) - Handel’s Messiah, complete with the famous “Hallelujah!” chorus, is a timeless classic that the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra performs each year at Music Hall. In addition to this traditional annual full performance, the Orchestra will, for the second year in a row, travel to Christ’s Church at Mason for a family-friendly sing-along version of this exquisite piece of music.

This community concert on Saturday, December 15 at 7:30 p.m. will feature the full CSO, along with the May Festival Chorus, soloists and conductor Jane Glover, renowned for her interpretations of Baroque music. They will present the moving first part of the work, which tells the Christmas narrative, along with the “Hallelujah!” chorus, making an abbreviated concert appropriate for most age levels.

Big Brothers Big Sisters dinner to feature Nickelodeon star

MASON, OH (FOX19) - Great Wolf Lodge in Mason is kicking off their Howl-O-Ween event with a dinner supporting Big Brothers, Big Sisters.

Wiley the Wolf, Violet Wolf and Oliver Raccoon invite families to the resort on Saturday, October 13 for a buffet dinner complete with delicious food and the opportunity to help Big Brothers Big Sisters and meet a special guest.

Ryan Potter stars in the Nickelodeon hit show Supah Ninjas and will visit with diners at their tables, pose for photos, sign autographs and take part in the Howl-O-Ween activities.

Ryan has been a Little Brother with the organization for more than nine years. Dining times are between 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. and reservations are recommended.  An additional $20 fee per family will be added to dine with Ryan and the Great Wolf Lodge characters. Proceeds from the fee will be donated directly to Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Pet blessing and adoption in Mason

MASON, OH (FOX19) - All pets and their owners are invited to be blessed at a church in Mason on Saturday, October 6.

There will be over 20  animal rescue groups, assorted pet vendors, and animal adoption agencies at Tylersville Road Christian Church from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. For your pets safety organizers are asking that all dogs be on a leash, and any other species of pet be in a cage at all times. Come enjoy this fun family event.

Trick-or-Treat with the Dinosaurs open at Kings Island

MASON, OH (FOX19) - Trick-or-Treat with the Dinosaurs opened for its second season at Kings Island this past weekend.  This is not your average trick-or-treat.  There are candy stops, pumpkins, prizes and crafts, plus more than 60 life-sized, moving dinosaurs in the 12.5-acre dinosaur park.

Dinosaurs dress up for trick-or-treat at Kings Island

MASON, OH (FOX19) - When Trick-or-Treat with the Dinosaurs opens for its second season September 23 at Kings Island, park visitors will notice many of the dinosaurs in the world’s largest animatronic dinosaur park have been decorated as Dracula, pirates, wizards, clowns and ballerinas. 

The decorations on the dinosaurs were done by families from A Kid Again, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing fun-filled outings and ongoing support to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families, and are accompanied by a story about a child in the program. 

Trick-or-Treat with the Dinosaurs is $5 dollars with park admission.  All proceeds from the Trick-or-Treat with the Dinosaurs’ ticket sales September 23 will go directly to A Kid Again.
