Maineville students learn about fitness

Maineville students learn about fitness

MAINEVILLE, OH (FOX19) - Students at Hamilton-Maineville Primary School were busy building their bodies along with their minds recently as grades kindergarten through second grade participated in a school-wide Fun Run.

Students from each class ran laps around the Maineville walking track and competed to see which class could amass the most laps. The event, sponsored by the PTO, was a great way to teach students about physical fitness.

A number of parents volunteered to be lap counters, and a number of parents and siblings were present to cheer on their favorite runner.

Class winners were: Mrs. Ison's afternoon kindergarten class, Mr. Grubenhoff's first grade class, and Mrs. Taylor's second grade class. They will receive a popcorn party provided by the PTO.
