MASON, OH (FOX19) - College students planning to be home for the holiday break can enjoy the Mason Community Center in a variety of ways with a special membership.

College passholders will be able to swim, work out in the fitness center, and enjoy Basic Membership rates on drop-in group exercise sessions and other classes.

Bring your valid college ID with you when purchasing a pass. Last day to purchase the pass is December 31.

Mason residents recommended to learn hands-only CPR

Mason residents recommended to learn hands-only CPR

MASON, OH (FOX19) - CPR without mouth-to-mouth? Hands-only™ CPR is the new recommendation from the American Heart Association for victims of sudden cardiac arrest. You can learn it in just 30 minutes. That’s a small price to pay in exchange for an important life-saving skill that could someday make you a hero to someone close to you.

Every year in the U.S., more than 300,000 Americans experience sudden cardiac arrest. “When a bystander provides effective CPR to a cardiac arrest victim, they can double or triple that person’s chance of survival,” says Lt. Bill Blades of the Mason Fire Department. “In essence, the best response for a cardiac arrest victim is to have willing bystanders who are trained,” said Blades.
