MASON, OH (FOX19) - It's pretty unusual for two state legislators not running against each to debate an issue outside the capitol, but that going to happen Thursday.
State Representative Connie Pillich (D-Montgomery) and State Senator Shannon Jones (R-Springboro) will debate the merits of Senate Bill 5, the collective bargaining legislation sponsored by Sen. Jones, on Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Opponents got enough signatures to force the controversial law onto the November ballot, where it is designated as issue 2.
The debate will be held at Cedar Village in Mason.
The two lawmakers will debate the merits and impact of the legislation on the state and its public workers.
Cedar Village is at 5467 Cedar Village Dr., Mason, OH 45040
