Newport Aquarium was voted #1 among aquariums, beating out some facilities that are larger and are in bigger cities, like Shedd Aquarium in Chicago and the National Aquarium in Baltimore.

Newport Aquarium responded with this statement: "Newport Aquarium is thrilled with our #1 ranking because it was voted on by families around the country. We set out each day to help our guests create wonderful memories with their families in a world-class facility. This ranking in some small way says we're succeeding.

Mason, Springboro make Money Magazine list

Mason, Springboro make Money Magazine list

MASON, OH (FOX19) - A new "Best Places to Live" list in Money places two Warren County cities on the magazine's list of America's best small towns to live in.

Ironically, one thing that helped both cities make the list was their proximity to big cities:  Mason's access to Cincinnati by two different interstates (71 and 75), and Springboro's ready access to both Dayton and Cincinnati by I-75.

The magazine also like Mason's schools, recreation facilities in the form of golf courses, Kings Island, and a water park, and the moderate housing prices.

In Springboro, they like the historic part of the city, and La Comedia Dinner Theatre.

In Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, a total of 7 other places made the list: 3 on the east side of Cleveland and four around Indianapolis.
