KINGS MILLS, OH (FOX19) - The staff and administration of the Kings Local School District have been undergoing training on Google Apps for Education.

The Google program allows schools to give Google’s communication and collaboration applications to their entire education community for free, which will yield significant savings in technology budgets.  By being connected to a common e-mail, chat, and calendar system, as well as presentation and video tools, it will enable students and staff to work together and learn more effectively and efficiently.

By the time school starts in the fall, the district will have 805 Google Chromebooks on 27 carts across the district.  Kings will be joining over 8 million other students and teachers that are already using Google Apps at schools around the world.
