CLEARCREEK TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Clearcreek Township had extra traffic patrols out during the month of February.

The extra patrols were a part of the Police Division’s effort to make Township roads safer for residents and visitors.  Funding for the extra patrols is coming from the Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services as part of Clearcreek Township’s participation in their High Visibility Enforcement Overtime (HVEO) Grant. During February HVEO patrols resulted in sixteen additional citations being issued.

“Most of the additional citations were for speed and stop sign violations.” said Sgt. Wally Stacy, Clearcreek Township’s HVEO grant coordinator. “These are offenses that are often tied to traffic crashes within the Township”

The goal of the HVEO grant program is to make Ohio’s roadways safer by increasing enforcement of Ohio’s traffic laws.

MASON, OH (FOX19)  - The following traffic and parking restrictions will be enforced for Christmas in Mason on Friday, December 7.

U.S. 42 between Second Avenue and Mason-Montgomery Road will be closed from 4:00 p.m. to midnight. Detours will be posted directing traffic over Mason-Montgomery and Tylersville Roads. Motorists can expect delays while traveling through the area, with the heaviest delays likely between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m.

Parking will be prohibited on U.S. 42 between Second Avenue and Main Street, on the north side of Church Street between Mason-Montgomery Road and North Forest, and on North and South Forest during the hours of 4:00 p.m. to midnight.  

WARREN COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - Culvert installation work will require a five-day closure of State Route 48, approximately 1370 feet south of the northern junction of the Schlottman Road intersection.

The closure will be in place from Monday, Oct. 29 to Friday, Nov. 2 between US 22 in Warren County and SR 28 in Clermont County.

The detour for northbound traffic will be west on SR 28 to north on I-275 to east on US 22. Southbound traffic will use the reverse route.

Arrow boards and/or signs will be in place prior to the work zone to alert motorists of the upcoming road closure.
