Lane closures scheduled for I-75 reconstruction

FRANKLIN, OH (FOX19)- Reconstruction work on Interstate 75 in Warren County calls for the following closures tonight:

  • The right lane of southbound Interstate 75, north of State Route 73, will close beginning at 7 p.m.

All lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. tomorrow

This work is part of the widening and reconstruction of I-75 in Butler and Warren counties.

ODOT has a Target: Zero goal for any and all safety hazards. To help ensure the safety of construction workers and the traveling public, motorists should remain alert, reduce their speed and watch for stopped traffic while passing through a work zone.

Metro “Morning Rush Hour” Mini Bus Parties

MASON, OH (FOX19) - Metro is bringing the "fun bus" to Mason. Over the next few weeks, Metro will be having mini-parties during morning rush hour express routes. Friday, July 16, riders can hop on the Route 71X Kings Island Express (at the Kings Island Park & Ride, close to Western Row Road) and join the fun! The party runs from 6:00-8:00a.m.

The Express Bus will have a prize wheel, giveaways and contest entry forms. Information about bus schedules and routing also will be available.

Patrol OVI checkpoint in Warren County tomorrow

LEBANON, OH (FOX19) – The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced today that an OVI checkpoint will be held in Warren County tomorrow evening.

The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.

"Based on provisional data, there were 338 OVI-related fatal crashes in which 370 people were killed last year in Ohio," Lt. Anthony Lauer, commander of the Lebanon Post, said. "State troopers made 24,245 OVI arrests last year in combating these dangerous drivers. OVI checkpoints are designed to not only deter impaired driving, but to proactively remove these dangerous drivers from our roadways."

The location of the checkpoint will be announced Friday morning.

Gustin-Rider road closure update

LEBANON, OH (FOX19)- The Warren County Engineer announces that this week's closure on Gustin-Rider Road (CR 187) will extend into this week.

The extended closure by the Warren County Highway Department will be for two additional culvert replacements.

Daytime closures will be from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting. The closure will be between Whitacre Road and SR 28 on Gustin-Rider Road. T

he detour for the culvert replacements will continue to be routed using Whitacre Road, SR 132, Morrow-Woodville Road, and SR 28.

Whitacre road closure update

LEBANON, OH (FOX19)– Warren County Engineer, Neil Tunison, announcing a change in this week's closure on Whitacre Road (CR 181).

Due to an arch collapse during a routine culvert replacement project, Whitacre Road will be closed through 4:00 p.m. tomorrow, weather permitting. The closure is between SR 132 and Bindley Mounts Road on Whitacre Road. The detour for the culvert replacements is being routed using Gustin-Rider Road, SR 128, and Morrow-Woodville Road.

Whitacre Road closed next week
