The dismantling of the Son of Beast roller coaster to make room for future park expansion has begun at Kings Island. There is more than 1.65 million board feet of timber for the construction crew to tear down. That's more than 312 miles (or the distance from Kings Island to Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL)
Kings Island Public Relations Manager Don Helbig says that "It will take several months for the ride to be completely dismantled. Some time in early 2013."
